Publication day and live launch for Killing in Your Name by Gary Donnelly @DonnellyWriter @AllisonandBusby

Today is publication for the sequel in the DI Owen Sheen series, Killing in Your Name. Earlier this year I read Blood Will Be Born and I absolutely loved it. I talked incessantly on my social media channels about how much it blew my mind in the best possible way. So to learn that book two was coming out was extremely exciting and when my review copy popped through the door hysteria and happy dancing set in.

Blood Will Be Born – Book One

MURDER. BLACKMAIL. WELCOME TO BELFAST.

DI Owen Sheen vowed never to return to Belfast, but he needs answers about his brother’s death. He is on loan from London’s Met to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, although before he can dig into the past, he must babysit DC Aoife McCusker on her first murder investigation.

As the case slides into chaos, can Sheen put his personal agenda aside? And will McCusker keep her job long enough to ensure that this first case is not her last?

Killing in Your Name – Book Two

A boy’s body is found in bogland: a case as cold as the earth that has hidden it for so long and an echo of Northern Ireland’s darkest hours.

DI Owen Sheen has sworn to get justice for the unnamed boy and digs up links to a covert British Army unit that was operating in the 1970s. But as fresh bodies start to litter the streets of Belfast, Sheen and DC Aoife McCusker, who is fighting to restore her professional reputation, must make the connection and stop a killer hellbent on revenge.

Read my review of Blood Will Be Born here. My review for Killing In Your Name is on route, with the real life job getting in the way of my reading time I am a little behind. I am sure everyone is in the same boat as we get back to a “new normal”. I most definitely didn’t want to do a rush review. So stayed tuned for my full review over the coming days.

Tonight is Gary Donnelly’s live launch on Facebook at 18:30 – You can join in here: https://www.facebook.com/DonnellyWriter
