It’s Getting Scot in Here (Wild Wicked Highlanders) by Suzanne Enoch @SuzieEnoch #Review #LoveBooks

HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER
London socialite Amelia-Rose Baxter is nobody’s fool. Her parents may want her to catch a title, but she will never change who she is for the promise of marriage. Her husband will be a man who can appreciate her sharp mind as well as her body. A sophisticated man who loves life in London. A man who considers her his equal–and won’t try to tame her wild heart…

IN THE HIGHLANDS
Rough, rugged Highlander Niall MacTaggert and his brothers know the rules: the eldest must marry or lose the ancestral estate, period. But Niall’s eldest brother just isn’t interested in the lady his mother selected. Is it because Amelia-Rose is just too. . . Free-spirited? Yes. Brazen? Aye. Surely Niall can find a way to soften up the whip-smart lass and make her the perfect match for his brother for the sake of the family.

JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT HOTTER.
Instead it’s Niall who tempts Amelia-Rose, despite her reservations about barbarian Highlanders. Niall finds the lass nigh irresistible as well, but he won’t make the mistake his father did in marrying an Englishwoman who doesn’t like the Highlands. Does he have what it takes to win her heart? There is only one way to find out…

This the start of a new series by the fabulous Suzanne Enoch. A story of three MacTaggart brothers who are left with their father in Scotland, while their Sassenach mother takes their younger sister and raises her in London. The mother and father fell in love passionately, but things were not as they seemed, and she could no longer live in the Highlands. He refused to let her take the sons- but as a way to ensure she’ll see her sons someday; she creates a contract that ensures they three are married before their younger sister. As part of the deal, she gets to choose one bride for one of the boys. The oldest and a Viscount, Mal, has pulled the lucky ticket. But it’s the youngest, Niall, who is enthralled with Lady Amelia Rose.

What might seem as an easy courting- since the oldest wants nothing to do with the Lady – turns into a mission for Niall. Because her parents want a title in the family, which belongs to his brother. But it’s Niall whom Lady Amelia Rose loves. And vice/versa.

It’s a story of a woman who has been at the expense of her parent’s decisions and finally decides to take her life in her own hands. And a man who will stop at nothing to be with the woman he loves. And of course, we slowly learn about his mother’s contract with his father, and why she left him for 17 years. SO fun and can’t wait for the next in the series.

And for all you romance dreamers – a little snippet of love

“How can you be so relaxed? She asked him, though the only thing she’d yet seen trouble him was when something stood between him and her. That made it deem simple, that nothing else signified, but she’d been raised to be much more careful.

“I’m nae relaxed,” he returned, reaching past her to open the door as Smythe appeared to lower the steps. “I’m in love. And I’m hopeful. Here or elsewhere, it’s ye and me, Amy.”

She stepped won first, then turned around and kissed him as he joined it on the drive. “It’s destiny, yes?” she whispered, smiling against his mouth.

He grinned back at her. “Aye. Now take my arm so the rest of ‘em cannae see me tremble.”
