Hello Pop Pickers, I am personally over the moon to be on Lesley Kelly’s book blog tour for many reasons.
1. Lesley made my book blogging dream come true, my blurb is on the front cover of Songs By Dead Girls. Thank you SO SO SO SO SO SO SO……. much.
2. I met Lesley at N@TB Edinburgh in 2017, she was doing a reading and it was so engaging and pure dead brilliant.
3. Lesley has been so supportive of Love Books Group from the very beginning and that is duly noted and never forgotten.
4. I wanted desperately to catch up with the HET of Edinburgh.

| Synopsis |
When Scotland’s leading virologist goes missing, Mona and Paterson from the Health Enforcement Team are dispatched to London to find him. In a hot and unwelcoming city, Mona has to deal with a boss who isn’t speaking to her, placate the Professor’s over-bearing assistant, and outwit the people who will stop at nothing to make sure the academic stays lost. Meanwhile, back in Edinburgh, Bernard is searching for a missing prostitute, while Maitland is trying to keep the Chair of the Parliamentary Virus Committee from finding out quite how untidy the HET office is.

The Health Enforcement Team are on their jolly travels in this second instalment from Lesley Kelly. Well Mona and Paterson are, they head off to find the nutty professor. Whilst Bernard, Maitland and Carole try to hold down the fort in Edinburgh. But they have their own battles to content with.
I loved the dual stories happening at the same time, it kept the plot line fresh and fast paced. With each character having their distinctive qualities they are all intriguing. With Lesley’s humour throughout it makes for an addictive fast paced page turner.
My favourite character was Theresa Kilsyth and her magic purse.
My favourite phrase “Sleepy juice”.
I have never read books that are so filled with an author’s essence before. It’s probably because I know Lesley and I have heard her read at the Health of Strangers book launch. But each book is filled with Lesley’s humour and I hear her voice in my head as I read the book. It adds an additional experience as a reader. So my advice is to book up your tickets for any events Lesley may be hosting in your area.
The book can be read as a stand alone but if you are buying this one, get Health of Strangers too and meet the team from the start. It’s a series that it totally worth your precious reading time.
Lesley Kelly delivers a page turner that belongs at number 1 in the charts!
