Every day I post a photo on my Instagram Bookstagram account. I love prepping for the photographs and I put a lot of thought and time into them.
So I thought I would enhance their visibility by posting them on the blog too.
In my Bookstagram post, I usually have one book and either tea, chocolate or a candle in the post. All from local businesses that I love to support.
So I hope you enjoy today’s first ever Bookstagram post.
Today’s photo is for John Boyne’s The Heart’s Invisible Furies.
I got my copy for Christmas and I am desperate to read it. However, lots of other book blog tour taking precedence.
What books are on your TBR list that you are just bursting to read?
I was lucky enough to see @johnboyne read @edbookfest and it was a marvellous experience.
Also, my friend Joanne from @portybelle did a wonderful review. Which you can read here Portobello Book Blog.
Forced to flee the scandal brewing in her hometown, Catherine Goggin finds herself pregnant and alone, in search of a new life at just sixteen. She knows she has no choice but to believe that the nun she entrusts her child to will find him a better life.
Cyril Avery is not a real Avery, or so his parents are constantly reminding him. Adopted as a baby, he’s never quite felt at home with the family that treats him more as a curious pet than a son. But it is all he has ever known.
And so begins one man’s desperate search to find his place in the world. Unspooling and unseeing, Cyril is a misguided, heart-breaking, heartbroken fool. Buffeted by the harsh winds of circumstance towards the one thing that might save him from himself, but when opportunity knocks, will he have the courage, finally, take it?
